Taking out the trash with El Presidente!

It was another simple and short dream this morning rife with meaning. So I am a television interviewer. A camera man and I are interviewing Presidente Fidel Castro poolside at his Palace in Havana, Cuba. The interview seems to be going great. I can't seem to remember much of the questions or answers. Fidel eventually decides that he has answered enough questions for today and says it is time to go. He invites me and the camera man to help take out the trash with him! So we bust down the cardboard boxes and tie up the trash bags, and head out to the dumpster. Of course we have to walk through a local city park to get to his dumpster. There is a music concert going on in the park. Lots of local Cubans are there with lawn chairs and coolers. They are there to enjoy the show. It is a big band orchestra from the U.S.. They are playing John Phillip Sousa music, the Stars and Stripes Forever or something. I turn to The Presidente and ask, "Who is this El Presidente?" He says, "Ah, Si! These are the invaders. Pay no attention to them." So we march right through the crowds and turn right at the stage and walk to the dumpster. Ha,ha,ha!!! Then I wake up.

It just seems so unbelievably silly to be taking out the trash with the Leader of Communist Cuba! I laugh myself silly this morning! Like he takes out his own trash! Ha,ha!!! The poor guy! I'm sure it must burn him up having an American big band orchestra in Havana playing American military music. It would seem it's something he has no control over. The people want the music and he has decided to tolerate them performing it in his back yard.

Well, considering El Presidente has outlived so many U.S. Presidents it seems very unlikely such an incredulous scenario could ever take place. We we can always dream! Maybe after he finally croaks we'll live to see such a marvelous event on television. Heck, I have lived to see the Berlin Wall come down. You just never know. Rumour has it the old goat has had several strokes and is not long for this world. We shall see!
