The dream this morning, I think, may be a premonition type dream. The last few weeks my housemate has told me that he has had angelic messages telling him to prepare for the coming winter. That we need to be stocking up on food, supplies and winterizing the house. The signs say we are going to have a brutally cold winter.
In my dream I see an African American family has come to stay in the house with us. We are all huddled on the couch with blankets. The power is out, but we are keeping warm because we have a wood stove heating the house. There is a man and a woman, a couple of teenagers, and a little girl in dread locks, she I seated next to me, and I look across the room into the kitchen. I see a young man and woman put groceries out onto the counter. My eyes immediately fix on two tall cans of energy drinks set out on the counter. The little girl seated next to me, on my left, turns to me and says, "You and I will need those drinks the most! Everybody is depending on us to survive." I think it a sweet thing for such a little girl to say. I wake up.
A little synchronicity occurred today that prompted me to write up this dream blog entry. My housemate received his medical marijuana today and the strain is called, Sweet Black Angel. The little girl of my dream is very much a sweet black angel in the most positive way imaginable. She has a big heart and wants to protect her family.
I think the simplest interpretation of this dream is that the little girl represents hope in the face of adversity. She and I are important to the survival of our little group. If the group sees that we are thriving in our present circumstances, then they in turn, will be encouraged collectively to weather the storm. We are comforting to each other wrapped in our blankets of security. We have hunkered down and we will, hopefully, endure what ever the crisis is that confronts us albeit natural or man made.
The dream leaves me with a feeling of hope. The circumstances I face now and even in the future do not seem so daunting when I consider I have a sweet black angel waiting in the wings, and I will leave it at that. Nothing further needs to be said.
