A Perpetual Engine in a Land Cruiser!
The dream this morning had me reading a lengthy article in a magazine. I see a photograph, on the page before me, of a vehicle looking exactly like the one pictured above. The photo above is of a vintage Toyota land cruiser. The article was reporting how this particular vehicle was a favourite among rebel groups and special forces troops. The land cruiser is one of the most rugged off road vehicles ever built and can negotiate all types of terrain. The machine was built like a tank with solid steel construction. There are no weak points in it's classic design other than fuel economy.
The article goes on to say that a company in Africa is offering to retrofit these vehicles with new highly advanced solar electric engines and that the upgrade would give these old vehicles unlimited range and power. Basically, they claimed, you could drive it until the wheels fell off!
Such an innovation would be every off-roaders dream! Can you imagine an all-terrain vehicle that you never needed to refuel? You could travel for as long as you want, for as, far as you want.
When I finish reading the article I could hear the voices of naysayers sounding off in my head. They blasted all such claims as pure fantasy and unrealistic. An electric engine could never and will never become advanced enough to compete with a combustion engine in regards to power and endurance. This might be true for our day and age, but I can imagine, it could very well change at some future date. Companies continue to steadily make advances in batteries and materials technology. I believe it may happen some day. I think, if it is not some sort of solar electric technology, it could well be some kind of fusion engine, who knows what the future holds.
Maybe someday we will see some of that rumoured reversed-engineered alien technology, the government elites have been secretly keeping for themselves, come into the marketplace. I woke from this dream hoping it would come true and that I could one day own one of these vehicles. That would be totally friggin' awesome!!! Well, I can always dream!
