Dream Scout

I had a very amazing dream this morning. I was a Native American brave. I'm at some old army fort in Nebraska, I think, I'm in a big room with a few other indians. We get woken up by an officer telling us to get to work but we have no idea what he wants us to do.

Someone starts a movie projector and we sit transfixed watching a silent black and white movie. Afterwards, I wander about the fort. I'm am wearing nothing but a loincloth and a blanket. It is very chilly; Early spring? I can see fog on my breath.

I see a group of about five white women in their long frontier dresses being led about with a young man. One woman asks me if I have any clothes. I tell her, "No, I arrived just yesterday with only what I'm wearing." She says, "I know." The ladies whisper among themselves as they walk away. The young man returns and gives me two dollars. A donation from the lady.

I watch the sunset and I sing a song to the sun. It is a stunningly beautiful sunset. It is much like the one I actually saw last night.

I sleep outside sitting up. I dream about the woman who gave me the money. She is heading for the stables in riding clothes. I have a premonition that she will get thrown from a horse and die. If I save her she will marry me.

In the morning I find a cabin the window is open, I peer inside, the Indian scouts are getting out of bed. A sergeant walks in he is giving them money; pay perhaps? He gives me eleven dollars. I am an army scout recruit! I grab the nearest Indian scout by the left arm and I say, "Brother, let me tell you about my dream!"

I wake up feeling certain my fellow scout was going to tell me that I must act upon my dream.

A past life? God it sure felt real.
