Bigfoot on the Run

The dream this morning takes place in the very small town of Rapid City, Michigan. The town is located in the northwest corner of Michigan's lower peninsula in a somewhat remote wooded valley. I see myself dressed in shorts, running shoes and a light jacket. I see myself with the new beard I have been growing. I am running down the streets of Rapid City and evening is fast approaching. It will be dark soon and my plan is to run 25 miles out of town down country roads and circle back to town.

I do this in the dream and when I reach the city limits of Rapid City I collapse from exhaustion. Suddenly, I am lifted up and put on my feet by a huge 9 foot tall hairy man! It is a bigfoot or sasquatch. I turn around and look up at him, and he looks down at me, and I am shocked, and I wake up from the dream.

I have only been to Rapid City a handful of times and then I just drove through there in the middle of the night on my way to somewhere else. The little burg is out in the middle of nowhere and seems oddly out of place. You do not expect to find such town in the middle of such a densely wooded valley. It seems like the perfect habitat for a sasquatch. If he is out there that would be the place to find him.

Growing up here in Michigan back in the 1970's there were fewer people and there was a lot more wilderness. I never saw a bigfoot, but looking back on my childhood, I do remember hearing and seeing things that would suggest the presence of such a creature. Michigan has had it's share of sightings over the years. I want to believe the bigfoots are out there still and are thriving in spite of all the development and degradation to the environment that has occurred in the last 30-40 years.

I have never ran in a marathon. I did track and cross country back in high school. Strange that I would dream of having such a hobby at this point in my life. I know I have had many nights of marathon driving to get to all the banks in my territory with my job. Frankly, life it's self feel like a marathon every day, as I never get a day off, and I am continuously rushing from job-to-job and appointment-to-appointment. I never get a rest. I fall down on my couch, or bed, every night fully exhausted, and quickly fall asleep.

I was shocked to see bigfoot. He did not seem threatening to me. He seemed curious and sympathetic toward the weak silly human. What else could be said about seeing bigfoot in my dream? Well, he is an elusive creature and not much is really known about him. Funny how he found me rather then I found him. The suggestion is something big, shocking and unknown is about to catch up with me. I hope it will treat me kindly. I am so fatigued and so not wanting to deal with making any major decisions or life choices right now. Please be nice to me Mr Bigfoot? Thanks.
