The Eagle and The Pyramid

The dream this morning spoke completely metaphorical in the symbolic language of dreams and the unconscious. I see a huge step pyramid. The pyramid looks somewhat like a Mayan step pyramid but this one has four Greek columns at the topmost platform. The structure on top resembles the Parthenon in Greece, but on a much smaller scale, at the base of the pyramid, on the right hand side, I see a giant stone statue of an eagle. The eagle is approximately 12 foot high. I can see it in a right side profile at ground level. A well hidden pulley system is in place and dozens of slaves are manning ropes, and are standing by to hoist the eagle to the summit of the pyramid. The two lifting teams will work in concert with each other, one team will lift and the other team will pull as they negotiate each step.

For this dream, each step of the eagle, to reach the summit must be preceded by one merit of good karma performed by me. The scenario is much like a video game. Every good deed or selfless act of charity performed over a lifetime adds to my points of karma and every point of good karma permits the slaves to lift and heave the stone eagle up another step to the top.

In the dream, I do not get to see what deeds I have done to earn these good karma points, nor do I get to judge the merit of my deeds, an unseen independent party plays this role.  The eagle ascends with each point awarded by this invisible judge. When the last point is awarded, at the last step of the eagle, a loud victory roar burst forth from the crowd and an announcer shouts, "The eagle has landed!".

The chief symbols of this dream are the eagle and the pyramid. First, let's discuss the symbolic meanings of the eagle. The eagle is a symbol of power and freedom. He is a ruler of the skies and close to the divine. He has keen vision and powerful claws. He is synonymous with the higher self. The stone statue of an eagle suggests the concept is set in stone and incorruptible. He is helping me to discover the higher power and pursue a spiritual quest to reach the pinnacle of enlightenment.

The pyramid is a symbolic holy mountain built with blocks of stone. It is a symbol of spiritual transcendence and ascension. The eagle of our dream ascends to a temple at the summit. The eagle enters the same space as the All Seeing Eye or The Divine Eye of Providence. It was brought to the peak by the labours of many servants all done in secret on my behalf. The pyramid must by it's nature be climbed to discover it's mystery and to experience the thrill of it's view. It is a challenge to build it and to scale it. It is no easy task, but the reward is great.

My friend Kal likes to constantly remind me that I owe much of my current good circumstances to the charity and hard work done by him and our tight circle friends. He and they are symbolically the one's pulling that eagle to the summit. I am the beneficiary of their hard work and kindness. I do my best to try to be humble and grateful to him and them. Does this earn me any good karma points? I hope that is that at least it does not earn me any demerits. I like to think we are a team working toward an honourable goal and the "unseen judge" is awarding us appropriately for our labours.

Overall, I think, this dream is one of those big dreams, a once in a lifetime dream. Many new and significant changes are about to come in my life. It is a lucky dream. A huge reward from the universe is about to manifest. "The eagle has landed!". He is on his perch and blessings are about to be bestowed. This is my gut feeling and my hope. Please let it be so!
